- With our own wedding three and a half weeks behind us now, it is full speed ahead for Unearthed Vintage! Except, of course, the two weeks in the beginning of April that we will be honeymooning in Thailand. For those two weeks it’s only slow motion ahead while we enjoy riding and swimming with elephants in Chiang Mai, the Songkran festival in Phuket, rock climbing in Railay Beach, and swimming the beaches of the Phi Phi Islands (where “The Beach” was filmed).
- One of the many things we are looking forward to on our trip is browsing the markets in Bangkok and purchasing new fabric that we will use to reupholster some of the pieces in our collection. I don’t want to give away too many secrets, but $1.00 per yard for silk and other beautiful fabrics (and that’s US Dollars!)…we may need an extra suitcase (or 3). As we have access to wi-fi we will be sure to update our Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook with all of our findings!
Our warehouse/showroom has come a long way. From utter chaos and disorganization to beautifully categorized and {almost} ready for viewing. We’ve been building new shelves and racks for our different collections and soon enough, we will be doing a full inventory photo shoot. Sooner, rather than later (as in, it is my personal goal to have this complete before the time we leave for Thailand, no matter what it takes), you will be able to browse through our online catalog and select the pieces you love the most for your upcoming event. We are also working on other final details that will allow us to open our {virtual} doors very soon, such as pricing and packages, website design, and local advertising to help us get our name out there. Eventually, we want to participate in some of our local bridal shows as well. In the next couple of months, we will be trading in one of our cars and finally buying our own pickup truck. Flea market tour of Florida, here we come!!!
It looks like April is the official month that we will be open and ready for business! Get ready, I know we are!
