We just finished shooting our 2015 Look Book and it turned out even better than I could have hoped for.
If ever I’ve wondered whether or not I should be in business with my husband (or if any of you have thought that we’re crazy to spend all day, everyday together), spending the week creating together, bringing our 2015 Look Book to life was yet another situation to prove that this is exactly where Jovan and I are meant to be.
Just as some couples complete one another’s sentences, my husband completes my styling thoughts, and {almost} always knows where I’m trying to go with an idea even though I have a hard time of putting it into words.
What turned out to be one of my favorite looks of the entire week, started out as just a chair that I was dying to use in a lounge. It’s one of my personal favorites (like, almost ended up in my living room kind of favorite) but it rarely gets rented because it is so hard to pair.
It was a comment from Zania that got me thinking about incorporating the benches as the main seating in this grouping, and as I was styling my heart out, I was still missing something.
Then out of no where, Jovan said we should add the Circle Shelf.
It. Was. Perfect.
After the guys brought it up and placed it just right, I styled it, and stood back. I couldn’t be happier.
I finished this set by running to give Jovan a high five and a big hug. He completes me and this crazy life we’ve created together. I love you, my love. Thanks for always inspiring me.
